mmm u cant relly use distributive property here becuz if u were to do that then u wud have to put the 6 with it ( right ). becuz the whole entire thing itself doesnt have a + or - to seperate the 6 from the 2 ( 1 + 2 ) so how do u use distributive property??
btw my math teech said it was 9 alsho . . . o.o

Try solve this
6/ x(1+2) = 1

6 = 1 (1+2) x
6 = 1 x 3 x x
6 = 3x
x = 2

and this

6/ x(1+2) = 9

6 = 9 (1+2) x
6 = 9 x 3 x x
6 = 27x
x = 6/27

6/ 2(1+2) = 1
6/ [6/27](1+2) = 9

Therefore, its 1

That is right.. but if they really want to make it clear that the 2 doesn't relate to bracket, it would look like 6/2x(1+2) in the first place.
Even if it looks like that... wouldn't there be a 1 between the x and (1+2)?
so it would look like
6/2x1(1+2)
clearly here that 1 must be related to the bracket and is involved in simplifying.

But here it doesn't, that means 2 in 2(1+2) does relate to the bracket in their simplifying the brackets

so if we look again

6/2x(1+2)
=6/2x(1+2)
6/2x(3)
over here... between the x and the (3)... isn't there a 1?
so its
6/2x1(3)
SIMPLIFY
= 6/2x3
= 9

6/2(1+2)
= 6/2(3)
clear what to do here
SIMPLIFY
= 6/6
= 1

But really.... its the way this question is written out isn't it? I wonder who wrote this question =.=

so basically it just depends if the 2 is related to the brackets o.o and it is cuz there is an invisible 1 that isnt shown inside of the equation. and because there is a 1 there that is related to the brackets then the 2 also must be related to the brackets because it uses the same concept??

B (Brackets)
P (Parenthesis)

so we do that first.. the brackets.. whatever is related to the brackets.
